Secondary TA Positions (ASAP & Summer Starts)

We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants for secondary schools across the Wirral
, including Birkenhead, Wallasey, and West Kirby
. If you have a solid background in classroom support and are ready for a new challenge, we have schools waiting to meet you.

We have roles starting ASAP and for the Summer Term (April). You can choose between flexible daily cover or stable long-term placements
.

• Proven experience working with children in a school or professional setting.
• A valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Classroom and behaviour management.

• Support students in small groups to help them reach their learning targets.
• Assist the class teacher with behaviour management and maintaining a calm environment.
• Help students break down instructions and stay focused on their set tasks.
• Lead small group sessions to boost progress in core subjects like English and Maths.
• Act as a reader or scribe for students during assessments and mock exams.
• Assist the teacher with classroom preparation and organisation.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all pupils.
• Provide a brief handover to the teacher regarding student progress during the lesson.
