SEMH Teaching Assistants Needed

Teacher Active is currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work day‑to‑day, short‑term and long‑term in SEMH/SEND schools based in Birmingham. We are looking for people who have experience working with challenging students and are seeking a slight career change into a school environment.

The school requires extra staff due to increased student referrals, and staff will be needed for 1:1 support and general classroom help.

• Support pupils out of the classroom, providing pastoral and personal development assistance.
• Manage behaviour of pupils sent out of class, freeing up other TAs.
• Patrol school working with pupils not in class for any reason.

• Previous experience working with teenagers.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Team‑player attitude with a positive and flexible approach to work.
• Experience with in an SEMH school or setting.
