Youngwilders is a youth-led non-profit organisation focused on accelerating UK nature recovery and centering young people in the process and movement. We do this through facilitating youth-led nature recovery projects across the UK, and running youth engagement and platforming programmes to upskill and energise the next generation of environmental stewards.
As we grow, we’re excited to recruit a proactive and passionate Creative Communications Lead to create inventive and compelling storytelling and experiences that bring our youth-led nature recovery projects and programmes to life. The successful candidate will work with our Visual Lead to develop this content. This role is offered on a two year fixed term contract.
What you’ll do:- Be responsible for our social media accounts and our new website, closely working with our Visual Lead to create content and helping us to grow a community and movement of young environmentalists across Instagram, Tik Tok, Whats App and Linked In;
- Lead on and shape the way we communicate our youth-led nature recovery work to our online community. We’re keen for someone who is passionate about nature and is ready to experiment with different ways to tell stories of the natural world to new audiences, such as through drawing, graphic design, photography and video;
- Work closely with our ecology team to develop compelling stories about the ecological impact of our sites;
- Regularly attend (minimum two day events a month) and document our Saturday day events in creative ways, producing high quality photography and video content;
- Monitor and evaluate the success of our digital engagement and communications reach, ready to present every quarter;
- Lead the creation of engaging written content, including a seasonal newsletter, annual impact report and press releases for key events, with support from the team;
- Hold Youngwilders to account on creating an inviting atmosphere in all things we do.
