About this jobStrathmore is an extremely busy GP Practice with over 14 000 patients and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Reception Team working alongside our current Reception Supervisor to support our Reception and Admin Team.
Flexibility is necessary as start times may change depending of the business needs.
Qualifications- Previous experience in a GP practice, medical environment, or similar busy customer facing setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to supervise or support a team
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident using clinical systems (e.g., EMIS/Docman) training can be provided
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations appropriately
- A positive, proactive approach to problem solving
- Welcome patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries, booking appointments
- Comfort patients by anticipating patients anxieties, answering patients questions, and maintaining the reception area.
- Help patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
- Protect patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Flexible approach to provide cover for absent colleagues.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures as set out by the practice.
- Use a courteous and efficient manner at all times.
- Input patients data onto the system, i.e., change of address.
- Good communication and teamwork and work to be shared out in a fair manner.
- Other duties as specified by the Partners, Practice Manager, Deputy Practice Manager.
