Temporary Staffing Administrator – Overview

Our Temporary Staffing Administrator role is not a typical admin job. It is something a bit different and we are looking for a special person who can not only do the job but who will thrive in it. This role is a full time office position based at Glan Clwyd Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate induction and training for all staff groups (except Medical) both new starters and existing staff to ensure knowledge, skills and training to work on the bank.
  • Assist all staff groups (except Medical) by providing comprehensive, effective, and efficient Temporary Staffing services for BCUHB.
  • Sustain a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment where priorities constantly change, adapting quickly and managing time effectively.
  • Set up training and shadow shifts, monitor training compliance, maintain electronic files, verify payroll information, support bank and agency workers, work with different systems, prepare reports, support recruitment and career events, and answer queries by phone, email or face to face.
  • Work collaboratively with the local Temporary Staffing team, other Temporary Staffing teams across BCUHB, and People Services teams (Recruitment, E‑Rostering, HR) within a Compassionate Leadership culture.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact with staff, bank, agency workers and multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with training coordination or temporary staffing is desirable.
  • Ability to speak Welsh is desirable;
    Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Benefits & Working Conditions

Join Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB), the largest health organisation in Wales, providing a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services to a population of around 700,000 across North Wales. You will work in a supportive environment with compassionate leadership, a culture that encourages growth and development, and equality and diversity is a core value.

BCUHB is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer.

Successful applicants will receive all recruitment‑related correspondence via the email address registered on the application form. Applications may be submitted in Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
