Technical Sales Engineer – Industrial Filtration
For over 25 years, East Coast Filter, Inc. has helped industrial companies across the Northeast solve complex filtration and separation challenges. We provide engineered filtration solutions for applications including coolant filtration, process liquids, water treatment, chemical processing, beverage and industrial manufacturing.
Our team works closely with plant engineers, maintenance teams, and OEMs to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize fluid systems using advanced filtration technologies from leading manufacturers.
We are currently seeking a Technical Inside Sales Engineer to join our growing team and help support the increasing demand for off-the-shelf and engineered filtration solutions.
If you enjoy solving real-world process problems, working with engineers, and developing custom technical filtration solutions, this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a specialized industrial growing market.
The OpportunityThis position combines technical problem solving with consultative sales. You will work closely with customers and the East Coast Filter team to evaluate applications, recommend solutions, and support the sales process from RFQ through order fulfillment and Start Up.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of industries including:

- Evaluate customer applications and recommend appropriate filtration technologies
- Generate technical quotations and equipment selections including:
- Liquid filter housings
- Bag and cartridge filtration systems
- Coolant filtration systems
- HVAC, Dust and Replacement Air Filters
- Industrial centrifuges
- Strainers and separators
- Custom filtration solutions
- Prepare technical submittals and documentation
- Review drawings, process specifications, and operating conditions
- Collaborate with outside sales engineers to develop solutions for customer applications
- Communicate with manufacturers regarding application support, pricing, and lead times
- Coordinate with customers regarding technical questions and product performance
- Develop a strong working knowledge of industrial filtration principles and equipment
- Proposal Follow Up and New Market Lead Generation
- Maintain relationships with existing customers by checking in regularly to ensure filtration systems are performing as expected, addressing any issues, and identifying opportunities for additional solutions that can improve their filtration processes
- Work on real industrial process challenges
- Exposure to many industries and manufacturing environments

We are looking for someone who is technically curious, organized, and comfortable working with engineers and industrial customers. Ideal backgrounds include:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Industrial Equipment Sales Filtration, Pumps, Valves, and/or Fluid Handling Equipment
- Engineering degree preferred but not required
- 2+ years of experience in industrial equipment, filtration, fluid handling, or technical sales
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to understand flow rates, pressure drop, and process conditions
- Proficiency in Google, CRMs and General Database Navigation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
