Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered CT Tech(Radiology) for a 13-week travel assignment in Wrangell, AK.
Assignment- Days/Nights, 36 Hours/wk

May need to cover day or night shift, and on-call
** Start date will be no less than 5 weeks after the traveler's fingerprint cards are received in Juneau for processing. Upon acceptance, the traveler must make an appt for fingerprints and get them in the mail within 2-3 days to avoid the start date getting pushed back.
The Radiologic Technologist/CT Tech must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit’s/area/department’s policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Must provide radiographic CT examination of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation. Must exercise professional judgement in the performance of procedures, applying principles of radiation protection.
- Perform diagnostic medical radiography/sonography within the department and other areas.
- Maintain patient records and files.
- Assume responsibility for the departmental quality assurance program.
- Pursue continuing education.
- Transfer the patient to and from radiology.
- In the absence of a supervisor, assume responsibility of department.
- Rotate shifts as required.
- Perform ancillary duties as requested by the supervisor.
- Follow policies and procedures as set up by the administration.
- Assist in the general hygiene of the department and oneself.
- Should be able to work well in situations of stress.
- Must be able to take calls and report to work within 20 minutes.
- Must be willing to learn other imaging modalities as the manager sees fit.
- Must be able to perform duties in two fields of imaging and willing to work outside of modality, i.e., Ultrasound, MRI, CT, Mammography.
- Must maintain competency in ancillary modality.
- Able and willing to perform other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for the care of equipment in this area.
- Responsible for record maintenance.
- Assist with invasive procedures and have knowledge of these procedures.
- Active part in the preparation of the procedure in this area.
- Consult with referring physicians.
- Strive towards the goal of venipuncture.
- Follow the standard precautions procedure.
- Alter routine protocols to provide quality care to pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
- Set up and run the automatic injector.
- Familiar with the contraindications of the contract.
- Competent in tele-radiology transmission.
- Competent in sterile technique.
- Actively assist in the supply inventory and ordering.
- Daily/Weekly QC
- Work in conjunction with the Imaging Manager and Director; support the development and achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
- Review, edit, correct, and validate PACS to ensure accurate patient procedure image labeling.
- Ensure the flow of work is organized and efficient.
- Assign a daily staffing schedule.
- Respond to staff concerns promptly.
- Works to identify and solve operational problems.
- Serve as an expert resource for staff. Staff need to feel comfortable going to the lead as a resource for clinical or technical questions, patient or customer concerns, and process questions.

- 2+ years of CT experience required
