Radiology - CT Tech

May need to cover day or night shift, and be on-call.

The Radiologic Technologist/Mammographer must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served. The individual must be able to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s needs, and to provide care in accordance with department policies and procedures.

• Perform radiographic and sonographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation.
• Exercise professional judgment in performing procedures while applying principles of radiation protection.
• Maintain patient records and files; assume responsibility for quality assurance in the department.
• Transfer patients to and from radiology; maintain general hygiene of the department.
• Perform ancillary duties as requested by the supervisor.
• Must be willing to learn other imaging modalities as required.
• Perform mammographic procedures including screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic breast biopsy.
• Responsible for the care of ultrasound equipment and assist with ultrasound invasive procedures.
• Responsible for the care of MRI and CT equipment, and assist with interventional procedures.
• Work with the Imaging Manager and Director to support organizational goals.

• Current ARRT in Radiography or ARDMS in one category (Abd or OB/GYN) required.
• BLS certification required within 45 days of start.
• Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years thereafter.
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams as related to assigned modality.
