Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT/X-ray Radiology Technologist with ARRT or ARDMS certification and clinical competency in diagnostic imaging.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital radiology department providing diagnostic imaging services in both CT and general radiography
- Patient population spans from newborns to geriatric adults
- Shift may include day or night hours with on-call responsibility and the requirement to report within 20 minutes when called
- Potential to rotate shifts as required and to work outside the primary imaging modality
- Responsible for both diagnostic medical radiography and CT, including assisting with invasive procedures and venipuncture
- Competency with tele-radiology transmission, automatic injector, and maintaining quality control
- Active participation in departmental supply inventory, equipment care, and record keeping
- Must be able to provide care for patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds
- May be expected to assist with departmental quality assurance and assume departmental responsibility in supervisor absence
- Required to pursue continuing education and maintain competency in additional imaging modalities as directed
- Expected to follow all hospital policies, procedures, ethics, and compliance guidelines
- Must wear scrubs as specified by the department
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates are accepted as there is no radius restriction
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging required
- Current ARRT in Radiography or ARDMS in one category (Abdominal or OB/GYN) required
- BLS certification required within 45 days of start
- Clinical competency in assigned modality required within 3 months of hire and renewed every three years
- Must be able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality
- Must provide two fingerprint cards upon acceptance of position
