What We’re Looking For:Michael Baker is seeking a Document Control Specialist who will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining company documents and records to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational efficiency, quality systems, and audit readiness by ensuring documents are properly controlled throughout their lifecycle.
What You’ll Do:- Create, manage, and maintain document control systems for electronic and physical records
- Ensure documents are reviewed, approved, distributed, and archived according to established procedures
- Monitor document revisions, version control, and change histories
- Maintain master document lists and ensure only current, approved documents are in use
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to collect, format, and standardize documentation
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews by providing accurate documentation
- Track document retention schedules and ensure timely archiving or disposal
- Identify opportunities to improve document management processes and workflows
- Assist with any needs on the construction site
- 2+ years of experience in document control, records management, or administrative support
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Blue Beam and Adobe Acrobat
- Proficiency in document management systems (DMS), SharePoint, or similar platforms
- Working knowledge of document control principles, versioning, and records retention
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
The approximate compensation range for this position is $30/hr - $42/hr this compensation range is a good‑faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
