Job Title

Senior Quality Inspector

Responsibilities
  • Supporting timely turnaround of products, manufactured and procured, by assisting manufacturing as we strive toward zero defects through audits and random sampling.
  • Working with a quality-first mindset to ensure the customer receives products that exceed their expectations. Act as the day-to-day contact for the Quality department.
  • Completing part inspection on products produced in house and by sub-contractors.
  • Measuring parts using calipers, micrometres, and CMM.
  • Creating graphs in Excel to enable comparison of QC results and updating Excel spreadsheets.
  • Completing inventory transactions in the ERP system.
  • Assisting the production team as required, including completing first-off production checks.
  • Assist with the MRB when necessary.
  • Raising re-work instructions, checking the quality of the re-work, and occasionally completing re-work.
  • Working in the biological QC lab running product functional tests (experience not required).
  • Investigating customer complaints and raising & investigating non-conformances.
  • Conducting process audits and assisting in data reviews and KPI updates.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assisting in CAPA and complaint activities as required.
  • Identify errors and eliminate root causes using robust countermeasures.
  • Compliance – support manager to ensure effective internal control structures and procedures, ensure audits are completed in all areas, and implement corrective actions to drive continued improvements.
  • Tasks related to continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience within Quality control.
  • Manufacturing within life sciences advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible (able to adapt to differing situations).
  • Comfortable working in special conditions as necessary: clean rooms; low humidity; or static-free environments.
  • Experience with using CMM is desirable.
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential to the role.
