Quality Inspector
28 - 30k + OT and profit share scheme, GL12 South Gloucestershire, 28 days leave increasing to 33 with service, 7am - 4pm Monday to Thursday and 12.00 finish on Fridays, 39 hour week, pension, parking, employee welfare scheme, life insurance, permanent role.
The quality Inspector or quality technician role will involve monitoring and reporting on quality related matters from raw materials to finished components and products. The role will report to the quality manager.
The quality Inspector or quality technician responsibilities
- Inspection of parts/products to drawings and specifications
- In-process and final inspection
- Use of calibrated measuring equipment, Verniers, Micrometres, Slip and thread gauges
- Support organsing calibration activities
- Raise and manage concessions / non-conformance
- Record inspection results accurately
- Updating quality records on a computerised system. Any knowledge of SAGE would be useful but not essential.
- Previous experience of working to ISO 9001:2015 standards in production or manufacturing environments is ideal
The quality Inspector or quality technician experience required
- Any qualifications and training in Quality or related engineering are preferred but not essential and candidates with a track record in engineering and production quality inspection knowledge could be suitable for this role.
- Experience of working in engineering, manufacturing or production environments
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Knowledge of working with quality standards i.e. ISO
- Familiar with inspection measurement tools
