The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic RE/PSHE Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school ASAP in Wotton-under-Edge. This is a maternity cover position with a teaching commitment of 0.76 FTE, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' personal development and academic progress.
Responsibilities
As part of the teaching team, you will take on full teaching responsibilities, including:
Planning and delivering engaging lessons in Religious Education and PSHE across KS3 and KS4.
Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress in line with school policies.
Contributing to the wider curriculum, supporting whole-school initiatives around wellbeing, safeguarding, and personal development.
Maintaining high standards of classroom management and fostering a positive learning environment.
Participating in departmental meetings and collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching.
Supporting pastoral care and promoting the school's ethos of respect, inclusivity, and responsibility.
Requirements
Qualified with QTS/QTLS and experienced in teaching RE and/or PSHE.
Passionate about supporting young people's development.
Skilled in creating inclusive lessons that engage and challenge all learners.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
