Fire Alarm Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. You participate in the installation, programming, start‑up, and commissioning of state‑of‑the‑art fire alarm equipment, including fire safety, mass notification, detectors, and field peripherals. Your expertise and regular interaction with the customer keep their building and inhabitants safe.
As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will:- Assist with the commissioning of new fire alarm systems on construction ensuring seamless integration
- Assist with testing and inspecting existing fire alarm systems
- Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader
- Complete commissioning within planned timelines
- Submit accurate time and expense logs
- Work overtime when needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Electro‑mechanical experience and PC/software skill; proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to differentiate types/colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
- Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 18 months
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations; meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens’ fleet vehicle program
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state‑recognized GED;
Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred - Ability to read/understand design and construction documents
Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees. Pay range for this position is $42,340 – $72,583 annually.
