Overview

HOURLY PRODUCTION FULL-TIME – JBS is seeking an hourly Production Team Member. Position starts at $21.60 per hour with the ability to go up to $27.60/hour plus $1/hour Shift Differential between 6pm-6am.

• Work in an area where livestock is being killed
• Work regularly in temperatures near or below freezing (Coolers, Loading Dock Freezer)
• Work in areas with unpleasant odors
• Work in damp or cold conditions (20-30 Degrees – Fabrication)
• Work in extreme heat (up to 104 degrees on the kill floor)
• Work in areas that require you to lift, pull, or push 50 lbs.
• Work with sharp knives or a cutting tool
• Willing and capable of working overtime when necessary (Heavy Season – August to February)
• Available to work Day and Night shifts
• Willing and capable of working Saturdays
• Willing and capable of working in or around bloody areas, in a fast-paced environment, performing repetitive hand motions and body movements. Physical demands may require 5 to 6 weeks for the body to adjust to the work conditions.
• Neutral wrist – repetitive hand motions and grasping
• Reaching – reaching for product on the conveyor belt with hooks, reaching for boxes or bags
• Standing – 8 to 10 hours per day, 6 days a week (Loading dock 7 days as needed per schedule). Breaks per union contract and operational requirements
• Heavy Work – exerting 51 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, etc. (see original for full details)
• Very Heavy Work – exerting more than 100 pounds of force occasionally, etc. (see original for full details)
• Expectations – report to work to scheduled start time, follow all company policies and procedures, follow supervisor/manager instructions, work well with others, and strive to learn and grow

• Requires ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Additional qualifications as needed

The work environment may include cold and/or hot temperatures. It may also require the use of sharp tools such as knives.
