Mechanical Engineer

Do you enjoy learning how things work, troubleshooting, and designing new equipment? We are seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer who loves problem solving.

This position is responsible for research, planning, design and construction of manufacturing equipment along with developing new processes and improving the processes of current manufacturing operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Research, planning, design and construction of manufacturing equipment

· Developing process improvements

· Initial design and production process creation for new products for sale

· Approve products for customer applications (product development requests)

· Assist accounting when developing cost models for new processes and/or improvements

· Develop test criteria for acceptance of new equipment

· Support production processes

· Researching, approving, qualifying new production equipment purchased from outside vendors

· Up to 10% Travel to support sales or customer testing

· Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

• One to three years of design experience
• 3D CAD experience (Autodesk Inventor)
• Experience with statistical process tools
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team
• Works in an office and production environment
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Valid Real
