About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially
focused General Manager
to lead The Perch. This is a senior leadership
position suited to a confident operator with a proven background in
high-volume, quality-led hospitality.

You will be fully accountable for the performance
of the business, leading a large team, driving standards, and delivering
outstanding guest experiences while achieving strong financial results — all
within a structured 45-hour per week contract
.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, inspire, and manage the entire
    restaurant team, creating a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations, ensuring
    seamless service from open to close
  • Recruit, train, develop, and retain a
    high-performing management and front-of-house team
  • Manage rotas, payroll, performance reviews,
    and team development
  • Take ownership of financial performance,
    including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Maintain exceptional standards of food
    quality, service, cleanliness, and compliance
  • Oversee stock control, supplier relationships,
    ordering, and invoicing
  • Act as the face of the restaurant, hosting
    guests and managing special occasions
  • Handle guest feedback professionally,
    resolving issues quickly and effectively
  • Ensure full compliance with health &
    safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations
Experience & Skills Required
  • Proven experience as a General Manager (or
    senior Deputy ready to step up) in a high-volume restaurant, pub, or
    premium hospitality venue
  • Strong commercial awareness with a track
    record of meeting financial targets
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and
    communication skills
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge, including
    allergens and dietary requirements
  • Confident understanding of wine, beer,
    cocktails, and coffee
  • Food hygiene certification (preferred)
