About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist to join our Health in Justice (HiJ) Musculoskeletal (MSK) team on a part time basis, at HMP Huntercombe
. This is a category C men’s prison in Oxfordshire
.

This role is 3 sessions per month
; total number of hours are 12 hours a month
.

Salary is between £40,000 - £49,000 pro rota depending on experience.

• As our physiotherapist, you will:
  • Provide care to an MSK caseload, a mixture of acute injuries and chronic conditions, some complex in nature
  • Work as part of an MDT to provide evidence-based care to our cohort of patients. The MDT consists of ANPs, nurses, GPs, pharmacist, psychologists, substances misuse team.
  • Work closely with the prison gym staff to enhance the rehabilitation of prisoners.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner in charge of triaging and managing your caseload and diary
  • Work with the wider HiJ MSK Service to implement service improvements

• BSc in physiotherapy
• HCPC registered practitioner
• Proven post-registration experience of assessing and treating MSK conditions in an outpatient setting
• Evidence of CPD and work within MSK speciality
• A non – judgemental and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent IT skills in MS Word, Outlook
• Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience of electronic notes systems.

• Up to £49,000 per annum pro rata depending on experience
