About the School

Masterclass is working with a welcoming and inclusive SEN school supporting students with moderate additional needs, providing a practical, engaging curriculum that helps learners develop independence, confidence, and life skills. The Role

We are seeking a creative and patient SEN DT Teacher to deliver engaging and accessible Design & Technology lessons to students with moderate learning needs. You will adapt the curriculum to ensure all students can participate meaningfully, developing practical skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver differentiated DT lessons tailored to students with moderate additional needs.

* Create a safe, structured, and inclusive practical learning environment.

* Adapt tools, materials, and teaching strategies to ensure accessibility and engagement.

* Support students to develop practical skills, independence, and teamwork.

* Assess progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and reports.

* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and therapists.

* Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and safeguarding at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

* Hold QTS and have experience teaching DT.

* Have experience or a strong interest in SEN and inclusive education.

* Be patient, adaptable, and creative in your teaching approach.

* Understand health and safety requirements within DT settings.

* Be committed to supporting students’ personal and academic development.
