TPF Recruitment is supporting a respected and fast growing accountancy practice in Sussex that is looking to appoint a Part Qualified Accountant for its Steyning office. This firm has built a strong reputation over thirty years and offers a broad advisory and compliance service to an ambitious and varied client base.

The role:

In this position you will take responsibility for a developing portfolio of clients and support a wide range of accounting and tax work. Typical duties include:

• Accounts production for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and not for profit organisations
• Preparation of tax computations
• Responding to incoming client queries
• Management accounts and VAT returns
• Managing your own workflow and meeting deadlines

• AAT qualification or equivalent as a minimum and progression toward ACCA or ACA
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice
• A collaborative approach with strong drive and work ethic
• Ability to manage pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
• Confident communication skills and a personable manner
• Good working knowledge of Excel, Xero, Sage, Quick Books and CCH
• Xero certification is welcome but not essential
• A driving licence and access to your own transport

Salary: 30,000 to 40,000 depending on experience

Hours:

36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexible and hybrid working

Holiday: 23 days annual leave excluding bank holidays, rising by one day per year of service up to a maximum of 28 days
