We are looking for service technicians with experience working on boilers, residential AC, mini splits, and commercial systems. Truck, tools, uniform, and tablet w/ Service Titan provided.

Position Summary

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering safe, high-quality service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, including electrical, mechanical, and control-related problems
  • Repair and replace HVAC components such as motors, compressors, capacitors, contractors, thermostats, and controls
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system performance testing
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications
  • Provide clear explanations and recommendations to customers regarding repairs, maintenance, and system upgrades
  • Accurately complete service documentation, work orders, and invoices using company software
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, OSHA standards, and manufacturer guidelines
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in safe and working condition
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required
  • Meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction standards
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of HVAC service experience preferred
  • Technical or trade school training in HVAC strongly preferred
  • Boiler experience strongly preferred
  • Commercial HVAC system experience preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (required)
  • Additional certifications such as NATE preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems
  • Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Proficient with mobile devices and service management software
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work at heights
  • Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions
  • Residential and light commercial job sites
    Exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, noise, and mechanical hazards
  • Field-based work with daily travel
Schedule
  • Typically Monday through Friday
  • Overtime, evenings, weekends, and on-call work may be required during peak seasons
Travel Requirements
  • Local travel within assigned service territory
