Classroom Supervisor
Are you confident, resilient and able to command a classroom with presence and professionalism?
A large and well-established secondary school in Worksop is seeking a capable and motivated Cover Supervisor to join their team. The school has a strong community ethos, high expectations of students, and a clear behaviour framework that supports staff in maintaining excellent standards across the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced school environment and can demonstrate strong classroom presence and confident behaviour management skills.
The RoleAs a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre‑set lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of teaching staff
- Maintain a calm, purposeful and productive classroom environment
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with the school’s behaviour policy
- Ensure students remain on task and complete work to a high standard
- Provide clear instructions and support to students of varying abilities
- Liaise with teaching and pastoral staff regarding student progress and conduct
This role is ideal for individuals considering a future career in teaching or education, or those with previous experience working with young people in a school setting.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:- strong classroom presence and the confidence to lead classes independently
- Proven ability in behaviour management within a secondary setting
- Resilience, consistency and a calm approach under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High expectations of student conduct and achievement
A proactive and flexible attitude
Previous school-based experience is essential.
