As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with their daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. You will work closely with residents, colleagues, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with individual care plans.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach, have strong communication skills, and be able to work confidently both independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. You will be flexible, reliable, and committed to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for those in your care.
Candidate Responsibilities- Support individuals with their daily routines
- Promote independence and empower service users
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Assist with personal care activities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Follow care plans, safeguarding, and health & safety guidelines
- Work flexibly across long day and night shifts as required
- Minimum 6-12 months UK experience in a Support Worker role
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach
- Ability to follow instructions and individual care plans
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts
- Based in, or willing to work in, Workington, Cumbria
- £250 referral bonus (paid after 150 qualifying hours worked)
