A leading organisation specialising in Nuclear Site Services, able to maintain a variety of remote handling and associated equipment to exacting standards. Supporting major projects throughout the Nuclear Industry, UK and overseas from concept and design to installation and maintenance.
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team, playing an essential role ensuring the ongoing reliability, safety and performance of mechanical plant and equipment.
Key responsibilities:- Perform scheduled, preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems, equipment and components
- Diagnose faults and implement effective repairs
- Delivering upgrades, modifications and installation projects.
- Working through out the whole project lifecycle from concept to installation.
- Comply with industry health and safety working practices and regulations.
- Work in a safe manner and comply with defined statutory and company, local Health and Safety rules and regulations at all times.
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities on plant and equipment as efficiently and safely as possible to defined quality specification.
- Able to manage own workload effectively, taking full responsibility for project delivery, time-keeping and meeting deadlines.
- Responsible for maintenance of mechanical equipment and the upkeep of the organisation own facilities.
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Time served apprentice/HNC/HND) or relevant experience within engineering/nuclear sectors.
- Understanding of maintenance systems, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong fault finding and problem solving abilities
- Proven experience in Mechanical Maintenance within heavy engineering / nuclear or other highly regulated industry
- SC Cleared or the ability to obtain
