The City Council has a busy agenda working in the interests of local residents, employers and visitors.
The Council owns a diverse portfolio of buildings, including the Grade 1 Listed Guildhall and other historic heritage and cultural assets, community centres, offices, car parks, crematorium, parks and other sports and leisure facilities. It is an estate that is constantly changing, through town centre regeneration and new capital investment and the Property and Asset Management Team is at the heart of this.
This busy multi‑disciplinary team is responsible for the complete lifecycle of property, from the buying and selling, the new build and improvement, the repair, maintenance and servicing and the day to day facilities management.
We are looking for temporary cover whilst our Property Support Officer is on Maternity Leave. This is a key role which ensures that customer contact through the team’s help desk is actioned and that contractors are instructed with appropriate priority. You will work with colleagues in the team to provide a fully responsive property management service. Raising Purchase Orders, resolving invoice queries and making payments are other important aspects of the role.
The post uses and acts as the system administrator for the Council’s cloud‑based asset management system, for which appropriate training will be provided.
Good communication skills, literacy and numeracy are essential as is an eye for detail.
