The Client
Based in Worcestershire this well established company manufacturers metal components and assemblies.
The Role
As Production Planner you will report to the Operations Manager and be in constant and close liaison with customers, sales, production, despatch and quality so you will be an excellent communicator. You will look after a given list of customers and build a sound business relationship with them in order to manage their expectations regarding delivery and quality and you will be their point of contact for all communications.
The responsibilities of the Production Planner include coordinating daily deliveries, attending production meetings, to manage visual monitors, controls and measurements, to have regular communication with the Operations Manager and to develop links with customers. You will use the company MRP system and be highly proficient in Excel and use these to manage delivery dates and customer requirements.
The Candidate
The successful candidate for the role of Production Planner will understand the importance of communication and will have experience of working in a similar role. You will be very positive with a can do attitude and be willing to spend time on the factory floor liaising with supervisors to enable customer satisfaction. You will be eager to learn and understand the company’s products and build strong communication links with Supervisors and Team Leaders.
You will understand and plan capacity with each department. This role is demanding and you will need to be extremely well organised and maintain a systematic approach to problems and deadlines whilst balancing priorities both internally and externally.
