Salary: £24,124 p.a

The Company

Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

• We are looking for a skilled and motivated Powder Coating Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying powder coatings to metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Prepare and clean surfaces prior to coating.
• Operate powder coating equipment safely and efficiently.
• Apply powder paint to components following technical guidelines.
• Hang parts on the powder line track for coating and remove them after processing.
• Pick and organise components for coating according to production schedules.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure all products meet required standards.
• Perform 100% kit verification before processing to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Inspect finished products for quality and consistency.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience in powder coating or a similar role (preferred).
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment

Desirable Criteria

• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Knowledge of different powder coating techniques and finishes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or job sheets.
• Forklift licence or experience handling materials safely.
• Basic maintenance skills for coating equipment.

• Working hours are rotating 05:30am - 1:30pm Monday to Friday then onto the PM Shift - 2:00pm - 10:30pm Monday to Thursday and Friday is 2:00pm - 8:00pm
• Overtime is paid at Time 1/3 first 2 hours then Time 1/2 thereafter each day. Saturday is Time 1/2 and Sunday Double Time.
