About The Job

Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market‑leading machine‑tool manufacturer that has been at the forefront of the industry for many years. • Pre‑setting tools for FH Line, Vari:
  
  Axis and Versatech machines within the machining department.
• Controlling stock levels, regrinds and reclamation of over 5,000 tools.
• Working closely with our tooling suppliers.
• Liaising with machine operators, process engineers and supervisors to ensure smooth running of 14 CNC machining centres.
• Being responsible for the 5S of two pre‑setting rooms in the machining department.

Essential Criteria

• History of working in an industrial setting.
• Understanding of basic mechanical principles.
• Computer literacy.
• Hard working and conscientious.

Desirable Criteria

• Some machining experience.
• Experience in changing cutting tools.
• Overhead crane experience.
• Role will be on Standard Mazak contract on day shift.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:15 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime is paid at time 1/3 for the first two hours and time 1/2 thereafter each day. Saturday is time 1/2 and Sunday double time.
