Planning Team Leader - Technical (Housing Repairs & Maintenance)

We're looking for a Planning Team Leader based in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire to join our Property Care team and lead a group of dedicated Lead Planners and Work Planners. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring repairs and maintenance services are scheduled effectively and completed to a high standard.
What You’ll Be Doing- Leading, coaching, and developing a high‑performing planning team.
- Overseeing the scheduling of repairs to ensure "right first time" completion.
- Providing technical guidance to scope and time jobs accurately.
- Collaborating with other team leaders to optimise resource use.
- Ensuring customers receive timely, clear updates and resolving complaints swiftly.
- Monitoring work‑in‑progress and escalating issues to maintain service delivery.
- Supporting continuous improvement and training initiatives.
- Deputising for the Planning Manager when required.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of repairs and maintenance operations.
- Trade‑related qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds).
- Customer Service Management qualification or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong customer focus and problem‑solving ability.
- Ability to analyse data and drive performance improvements.
- Knowledge of health & safety, HR policies, and digital tools.
- Technical understanding of trade skills and realistic scheduling.
- Full Driving Licence as there will be travel across the area.
As our teams are patch based you would also need to be based in or close to Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.
