Lead Oncology Nurse Specialist - Children and Young People

Due to the retirement of a much‑valued colleague we are seeking a Lead Oncology Nurse Specialist to lead and shape outstanding cancer care for children and young people across Worcestershire, working in partnership with Birmingham Children’s Hospital as part of our shared care model.
As our Lead Oncology Nurse Specialist you will be the visible clinical leader and expert resource for CYP cancer and leukaemia care, coordinating seamless journeys from first investigation and diagnosis through treatment, transition to adult services, or palliative care. You will champion evidence‑based children’s cancer nursing, set standards, and coach a skilled team to deliver safe, high quality care across our sites.

Main duties of the jobManaging your own caseload with support from expert medical colleagues you will act as an independent CYP oncology practitioner and support chemotherapy clinics including physical assessment prior to SACT and non‑medical prescribing within scope and Trust policy.
