Is making a difference what drives you? Is doing the right thing important to you? Are you reliable, hardworking, and committed to excellence?

We are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate midwives to join our maternity service. If this sounds like you and you value the responsibility and accountability of being a midwife, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a fixed-term 12 month opportunity.

This advert is specifically for Newly Qualified Midwives who are eligible for preceptorship.

If you have applied to our recent midwife job adverts in the past 3 months, you will have already been assessed, and there is no need to re-apply to this job advert.

Band 5 Midwives: NQMs, third‑year students due to qualify in Feb/Mar 2026, and experienced Band 5s joining our adapted preceptorship are welcome. You’ll benefit from a structured, individualised preceptorship supported by a dedicated lead, helping you build confidence, knowledge, and integration. This highly regarded programme improves midwife retention and provides an excellent foundation for progression to Band 6.

The rotational model covers all areas including Delivery Suite, Antenatal Ward, Postnatal Ward, and Community. This ensures a sound foundation, helping you become a confident and competent practitioner.

You’ll join an approachable team that values personalised care, teamwork, and growth. Our commitment was reflected in our recent CQC inspection, where maternity services were rated Good.

Main duties of the job

Before interviews, an assessment centre will be held as part of a two-phase assessment process to select the most suitable candidates.

1. Do you have a Midwifery BSc or equivalent?

If you’re due to qualify in February/March 2026 and are awaiting your NMC pin, please select YES for both. You can then proceed and enter your expected qualification month and year.

As a dedicated midwife, your main duties will revolve around providing safe, clinically effective and individualised care to women and birthing people throughout their pregnancy journey.

Working collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, you will be involved in all areas of the maternity services.

By staying up-to-date with advancements in midwifery care and embracing evidence‑based practices, you will contribute to the continuous improvements of our services. Your dedication to providing compassionate care and your commitment to ongoing professional development will make a significant impact on the lives of the families within the Worcestershire area.
