Accountant, Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting

Position: Accountant (Permanent)
We are working with a well-established family-owned business seeking a hands-on Finance Manager/Accoutnant to take ownership of their financial operations. This is a varied and highly visible role where you’ll directly influence the business’s success, working closely with senior management to support planning and decision-making.

The Role:

You’ll manage cashflow, oversee accounts, reconcile bank statements, authorise invoices, and prepare management accounts including P&L and balance sheets. You’ll also handle payroll, VAT, and other compliance responsibilities, while providing insights and advice to help shape strategic decisions. Monitoring stock, work in progress, and other key financial metrics will also form part of your role.

About You:

* Experienced in accounting or finance, ideally in a hands-on role within a small or medium-sized business.

* Skilled in Sage 50 and Microsoft Query (or similar accounting/reporting tools).

* Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, able to manage multiple priorities independently.

* Comfortable working in a close-knit, family-business environment and making a tangible impact.
