About the Role
You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, regulate emotions, and develop key social, communication and life skills. The setting offers a supportive, inclusive and nurturing environment, where consistency, patience and relationship‑building are at the centre of practice.
Your work will involve supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them engage positively with learning, manage transitions and develop confidence. Every day will be varied, rewarding and focused on empowering young people to achieve their personal best.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personalised 1:1 and small‑group support tailored to pupils with ASD, SEMH and ADHD.
Use strategies such as visual supports, structured routines, emotional‑regulation tools and positive reinforcement.
Adapt learning activities and resources to ensure accessibility, engagement and differentiation.
Support pupils with communication, behaviour regulation, social interaction and attention needs in a calm and consistent manner.
Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and individual support plans.
Promote independence, resilience and confidence through supportive, relationship‑based practice.
Assist with transitions, break‑time supervision and off‑site learning where required.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support professionals to ensure a holistic approach.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
Patient, calm and confident when managing challenging behaviour
Able to use positive behaviour‑support approaches
A strong communicator who can build trust with pupils, staff and families
Flexible, proactive and a reliable team player
Emotionally resilient and reflective in their practice
Requirements
Willing to complete a DBS check or provide an updated certificate
Able to supply two references
Proof of right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
