overview
worcester sixth form college is seeking an exceptional person to join the leadership team following the promotion of the current vice principal. The successful candidate will bring leadership skills, strategic vision and sound management to enhance the college and support its future development.
we are seeking someone with the ability, strategic vision and strength of purpose to work alongside the college principal in shaping the next stage of the college’s development, with the ambition and professional potential to progress to the role of principal. You will have significant management experience gained in a college (or secondary school, with a large sixth form), with a track record of effective quality improvement, interventions and challenging underperformance.
The vice principal will demonstrate a clear understanding of placing our students at the centre of everything we do and of continually striving to improve the student experience and outcomes.
the primary focus of the role is on curriculum and quality improvement and will therefore suit applicants with these or related specialisms and experience. Included in the vice principal’s responsibilities will be to act as college nominee and to provide line management to academic heads of department, mis etc. The vice principal is supported by a personal assistant with access to wider support services.
qualificationsand experience
- significant management experience in a college (or secondary school with a large sixth form).
- track record of effective quality improvement, interventions and addressing underperformance.
- clear understanding of placing students at the centre of all activity and of continually improving the student experience and outcomes.
- ability to work with the college principal and senior leaders to shape the college’s development and pursue progression to the role of principal.
