SEND Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time role this term?
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Worcester (WR2) is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work full time within their SEN Hub, supporting a small cohort of pupils across EYFS to KS2. This is a long-term opportunity within a supportive and well-established school environment. This role is ideal for an SEN Teaching Assistant who enjoys working closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, providing both small group support (up to 8 children) and 1:1 intervention where required.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the SENCo, class teachers, and wider support staff to deliver tailored support and create a safe, nurturing learning environment. The school is known for its strong inclusion values, positive behaviour culture, and collaborative staff team.

• Supporting pupils within the SEN Hub, working with small groups of up to 8 children.
• Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs as required.
• Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 with a range of SEN needs.
• Assisting with the delivery of differentiated activities and interventions.
• Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the SENCo to monitor progress and adapt support strategies.

• A minimum Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
• An understanding of a range of SEN needs across the primary age range.
• A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.

• Competitive daily rate, from £88.92 to £100 per day.
• Holiday Pay – PAYE candidates accrue 12.07% of their day rate.
