Overview

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Fostering and Kinship Service. Worcestershire Fostering offers placements for children who are looked after by WCC and provides fostering placements including family and friends foster placements for looked after children and young people which safeguard, promote welfare and enhance life chances.

Responsibilities
  • Support and supervise Foster Carers.
  • Undertake Viability, Private Fostering and Special Guardianship Assessments for court submission.
  • Complete Social Work assessments, including fostering and Connected Carers assessments.
  • Perform fostering registrations and monitoring as required.
Qualifications
  • A professional qualification in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Post‑qualifying experience in Children and Families work.
  • Proven experience completing Social Work assessments, preferably fostering and Connected Carers assessments.
  • Good knowledge of fostering regulations and minimum standards.
