This is a part time post working 30 hours a week between Tuesday and Friday.

Are you an excellent communicator with a passion for healthcare? We're seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable administrator to be part of our Worcester City Neighbourhood Mental Health Psychology Admin team at Studdert Kennedy House, Worcester.

In this important role, you'll be using your knowledge, experience, and expertise to provide essential administrative support to our hard-working frontline NHS teams. No NHS experience required, but a passion for excellent patient care is a must.

You will be supporting a wide range of people, including patients and health care professionals. You will need to be responsive and adaptable to the needs of the service, but you can be sure that your hard work will be making a real difference to our patients and service users every day.

Main duties of the job

A typical day as an administrator may involve:

  • Maintaining patient records effectively and accurately.
  • General office duties such as typing, scanning, photocopying, printing
  • Scheduling appointments/meetings.
  • Handling queries over the telephone and face to face from staff, patients, and external agencies.
  • Looking after the shared email inbox.
  • Assisting the team with various administrative tasks.

Job responsibilities

Administration duties specific to the role:

Providing support as required e.g. reception, data input, scanning, telephone cover, generic inbox management, liaison with patients and colleagues, appointment and diary management, maintaining accurate records and problem solving.

The role may require contact with distressed and anxious patients; you will be provided with training and support to enable you to manage potentially challenging situations.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Educated to vocational level 2 in Business Administration OR
  • Good general education with a minimum of 2 GCSEs (to include English Language) at grade 9-4 (
