Summary

In line with our redeployment policy, we’ll prioritise applications from employees who are under formal notice of redundancy.

This role is all about using your practical skills and attention to detail to look after a place that people love. We're looking for a Facilities Assistant at Hanbury Hall to help keep the whole place in good condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit.

You'll work 14 hours per week. You'll work 2 mornings per week (2 x 3.5 hours) and will be doing general cleaning to keep our presentation to the level our Visitors have come to expect. The additional hours, you'll be supporting our Facilities team with compliance checks and minor repairs where appropriate.

Once a month you'll also be supporting our Team in Worcester at our Greyfriars property, helping keep their presentation tip‑top.

For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

What it's like to work here

We are a close‑knit team, and take great pride in our site, and the quality of our presentation to our Visitors. We're custodians of a lovely place;
Hanbury has a very homely warm feel, with historic house and open Parklands.

What you'll be doing

You’ll help with the day‑to‑day presentation of the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You’ll be turning your hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor bits of maintenance, making sure that all our facilities are kept in good working order. You'll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.

Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter‑picking, both inside and outdoors, form a core part of this role. You’ll be aiming for the highest standards of customer service everywhere you look after, and this includes speaking to people as they visit and helping them with any queries. You might also get involved with general maintenance work and helping other teams if they need extra support.
