A 24/7 in‑house call center schedules maintenance and provides unscheduled services to fleets anywhere, anytime.

We are currently hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I. The Mobile Diesel Technician I will be responsible for performing DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, and light repairs, and other duties as assigned. The technician can perform more advanced repairs under the supervision of a Mobile Diesel Technician II or higher. The Mobile Diesel Technician I assists higher‑level technicians with repairs and continues to learn additional advanced mechanical skills and diagnostic tools.

Work is frequently audited for quality. A successful Mobile Diesel Technician I complies with all company policies and achieves high level performance metrics.

DUTIES
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various types of truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters, alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines (gas and diesel), transmissions (manual and automatic), clutches, and differentials.
  • Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on company‑issued service trucks and perform periodic reconciliation.
  • Maintain and operate the company‑issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections.
  • Work with and listen effectively to clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve problems, or satisfy expectations.
  • Manage concurrent tasks, prioritizing activities and time allocations effectively.
  • Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks.
  • Document work according to company standards and upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and findings on repair orders (RO) using company‑issued iOS devices and the proprietary TRAIT application.
  • Accurately complete DOT forms and all other required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Work independently and manage your daily schedule.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and work within or close to most standard repair times.
  • Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary.
  • Communicate with management and support teams via email or phone to obtain approvals for repair estimates, purchase order numbers, or discussion of RO findings.
  • Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health, and environmental policies, and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED and up to 2 years of related experience.
  • Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • OEM training and certifications are preferred.
  • Participate in and complete all company‑required training.
  • Must successfully complete a DOT‑regulated pre‑employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • A current and valid DOT medical card with more than four months remaining may be submitted in lieu of a DOT physical. If the medical card has four months or less of validity, a DOT physical will be required.
  • Due to interstate operating authority regulations, candidates must be at least 21 years or older.
