Registered Nurse Behavioral Health Worcester MA

Specialty- Behavioral Health Start Date: March 18, 2026 Location: Worcester, MA Shift: 8-hour Days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Hours:

40 hours/week, 13-week contract, every other weekend and holiday Qualifications & Requirements
Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

• Minimum 1 year psychiatric nursing experience required
• Previous med-surg experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

• Current MA RN license
• BLS required
• Behavioral health certifications preferred

• Monitoring patient mental status and behavioral changes on an adult inpatient locked unit
• Administering medications and treatments per provider orders, including IVs, feeding tubes, and mood/psychiatric meds
• Responding to behavioral or medical emergencies using crisis intervention and de‑escalation techniques
• Collaborating with the healthcare team and patient families to implement individualized care plans
• Maintaining accurate documentation of patient assessments and interventions (Epic charting preferred)
• Advocating for patient needs and safety, including managing seclusion and other safety protocols
