Salary: $60,000 - $90,000

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other pulmonary disorders, and serve as a key member of a dedicated healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions.
  • Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, such as asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on medical history, symptoms, and lifestyle factors.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies, including inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
  • Educate patients and families about disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as spirometry, chest X‑rays, and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in long‑term care or a skilled nursing facility.
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license.
  • DEA license.
  • CPR BCLS/BLS certified.
  • Must hold a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • At least one year of experience in pulmonology or respiratory care.
  • Preferred experience documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.) – training provided.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand/walk/ work on your feet 6‑8 hours per day.
