Manufacturing Operator – Casting

Pay rate: $24.85 - $27.00/hr

Hours:

4:00am - 12:30pm, M-F

Worcester, MA
Duration: 3 months

Solid Cast I supports the production of large, complex molds and cast products using solid cast and slip casting methods. This role focuses on mold assembly, pouring/pumping materials, demolding parts, and staging products for drying, while assisting with product and process development.

• Follow shop/work orders and blueprints from a supervisor or group leader
• Prepare and assemble molds using hoists, lifting equipment, straps, and flipping devices
• Perform slip casting by pouring/pumping mix into plaster molds and back filling as needed
• Demold parts using powered tools and material-handling equipment
• Load parts onto drying racks using an Interthor
• Complete other related duties as assigned

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• Manufacturing skills including blueprint reading, intermediate math, and basic computer skills
• Ability to measure in standard/metric units using calipers, tape measures, micrometers, and other tools
• Able to work independently after ~3 months of training
