Departmental Mission StatementThe Facilities Management and Capital Planning department provides for the management and maintenance of 62 state‑owned courthouses, and 42 leased facilities located in ten counties of the Commonwealth. The Department is committed to administering effective property management, facility operations, facility renewal, and the delivery of quality customer service in support of the administration of justice throughout the Commonwealth.

Notes- Shift: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
- This position will be open for three weeks.
- Licensed in HVAC, Plumbing or Electrician is required.
- This position is considered essential personnel in certain emergencies and may be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours, including staying late or coming in early.
- This position is designated as a union position and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement with O.P.E.I.U., Local 6.
- All new hires are required to start at the entry‑level rate for this position as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement with The Office and Professional Employee’s International Union, Local
6. Employees may progress through the salary band based on the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Supervises all custodial staff and related work in one court complex or multiple court facilities, as well as coordinates with systems personnel on any installations or repairs that are completed in an assigned facility. Ensures building cleanliness and infrastructure integrity. The Facilities Supervisor III serves as the lead supervisor for a court complex that includes multiple court departments and may also include one or more nearby court facilities.

Works under the direction of the Facilities Regional Manager or their designee.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Ensures courthouses and court complexes are presentable to trial court standards and the general public.
- Participates in the joint response to emergencies such as fires, bomb threats, disturbances or building evacuations, when necessary.
- Investigates the condition of buildings, equipment and grounds, and recommends improvements in the facilities to ensure that needs are met.
- Working with the Manager of Facilities for the region, develops and implements building improvement projects as needed.
- Provides staff supervision for maintenance for courthouse facilities.
- Operates building control systems.
- Manages job request computer system.
- Completes requests by outsourced vendors and contractors.
- Manages employees and distributes job tasks and direction.
- Prepares building status reports for Manager of Facilities.
- Completes purchase requests and receives and distributes supplies.
- Develops programs and/or participates in programs that advance best practices for operations for more efficient cleaning practices.
- Oversees and performs all aspects of the building including cleaning, maintenance, building systems, exterior grounds, repairs, projects and equipment.
- Maintains a safe work environment and responds to facility emergencies.
- Issues in‑house projects to staff.
- Conducts multiple, daily walk‑throughs of buildings.
- Oversees preventative maintenance work on the mechanical workings of the building.
- Provides upkeep for all equipment.
