Summary
This role combines strategic vision to shape inspection programs, strengthen vendor partnerships and deliver innovative risk control solutions. You will develop and execute strategies to minimize losses, enhance underwriting decisions and support profitable growth.
What You’ll Do- Set strategic direction for risk control initiatives that align with company growth objectives.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, timeliness, and top‑notch customer service.
- Analysis of inspection data to identify areas risk and areas of profitability.
- Collaborate with underwriting team to modify inspection guidelines based on relevant data.
- Coordinate training with Underwriting team on vendor platforms, new workflows, and emerging issues.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies and innovative products.
- Assist agents and policyholders by addressing vendor performance concerns and providing guidance on inspection recommendations or potential hazards.
- Conduct onsite inspections as needed.
- Provide technical support to CL underwriting.
- Work with the Communications team to bring relevant safety information and education to customers via social media and MAPFRE internet sites.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- 3 or more years in property risk control or related field.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple business areas.
- Strong knowledge of risk control, inspection, and vendor management.
- Knowledge of NFPA Life Safety code or recognized certifications like ASP, CSP, ARM, CFPS are a plus.

The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at MAPFREare eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range $77,700 - $96,100
