Overview
The Patient Services Representative acts as a resource to the assign Patient Services Team Lead. The Patient Services Representative assists patients by accurately verifying and updating demographics and insurance information, handling co-pays, scheduling, rescheduling and canceling appointments, checking patients in and out. The Patient Services Representative also provide patient education material, resolve tasks from medical providers, scrubs schedules and assure patient waitlist is updated in timely manner.
Patient Services Representative ensures efficient patient flow are being followed providing consistent high quality service, problem-solving, deescalates issues or concerns and establish communication with medical teams for the purpose of patient satisfaction. Customer service and patient satisfaction are key initiatives in this role.
High School / GED required. Two to four years college or a combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
Experience RequiredTwo years relevant work experience preferred including demonstrated customer service and accurate data entry. Medical Office Administration certificate strongly preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish required, or as needed to support other health center languages.
Reporting RelationshipReports directly to the Director of Patient Services
