Work alongside a leader who is invested in your growth as a clinician! Team Health is seeking an emergency medicine (EM) physician assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP) cent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts.
The advanced practice clinician (APC) in emergency medicine provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department. Working collaboratively with EM physicians and interdisciplinary teams, the APC evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and emergencies across the lifespan. Experienced candidates only.
About The Role- Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations for patients presenting to the emergency department
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and emergent medical conditions
- Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests including laboratory studies, imaging, and ECGs
- Perform procedures within scope of practice (e.g., laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage, abscess care, foreign body removal)
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines and state regulations
- Initiate stabilization and resuscitation efforts for critically ill or injured patients
- Collaborate with emergency physicians on complex or high-acuity cases
- Determine patient disposition, including admission, observation, transfer, or discharge
Competitive compensation with an estimated base salary range of $75 to $90 hourly with the opportunity to earn incentives including shift differential.
