The Laboratory Analyst has a solid understanding of microbiological concepts, practices, and procedures, and working knowledge of media formulations. The analyst works independently when necessary.

Must live a commutable distance to Worcester, MA. Interviews and training will take place in Cranston, NH.

Compensation: $19–20/hour (DOE) plus benefits.

Schedule:

Mon‑Fri 9am–6pm.

• Receive and log all samples.
• Ensure correct analysis is performed on all samples.
• Perform QC/QA tests for all analyses.
• Utilize all QC/QA documentation and logbooks.
• Assist MLT III with QA/QC tasks.
• Input and review bench sheet data into the Laboratory Information Management System (Element).
• Interface with clients.
• Conduct laboratory tasks as needed.
• Revise SOPs as required.
• Order supplies with MLT III and LD.
• Run routine and non‑routine specialized microbiological analyses.
• Perform field work when necessary.
• Prepare media for analysis.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and environment.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years in a microbiology laboratory performing environmental analyses.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Good customer‑service skills.
• Physical ability to perform light lifting and housekeeping duties.
• Tolerance for unpleasant odors.
• Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Resume includes authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
