Position: Registered Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist, 34 Hours, Days

Exemption Status: Non‑Exempt

Hiring Range: $41.92 - $67.75

Schedule Details: Monday through Friday, On Call - Required

Union: SHARE (State Healthcare and Research Employees)

Sign‑on Bonus: $10,000 sign‑on bonus eligible for external new hires to the UMMH system. Rules and restrictions apply – Talent Acquisition will discuss eligibility with candidates.

Major Responsibilities
  • Performs specialized or general procedures according to established departmental protocols.
  • Performs ultrasound procedures for cardiac ultrasound and other specific areas as required.
  • Operates all types of ultrasound equipment; performs portable exams in various areas throughout the hospital, including operating rooms, intensive care units, and off‑site locations; records images and makes hard copies (CD’s) where applicable.
  • Uses Epic to schedule and complete exams and completes preliminary reports in Epic.
  • Serves as a resource to sonographers, MDs, and students.
  • On‑call weekends every 5‑6 weeks; works at off‑site locations on occasion.
Position Qualifications License/Certification/Education
  • Required:

    Two years of post‑secondary training.
  • Registration required by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), including the RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) for cardiac specialties.
