OMAMA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant to fill the role of patient care, to develop and manage relationships with our clients in the community to promote OMAMA Home Health Care services and help expand our Medicare home health business in the Worcester Metro Territory. This position requires an individual who is highly motivated, results-driven, and able to develop and build strong, lasting relationships.
Job DescriptionA certified nursing assistant job description includes providing assistance to the professional staff. A CNA’s daily responsibilities will be to deliver direct care to patients (bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, etc.) as directed by the RN or LPN in charge. Their role will be to maintain patient comfort and safety. They’ll also need to follow all departmental policies and procedures as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
They’ll represent the facility with integrity, free of gifts or improper inducements. A CNA adheres to the facility’s Core Values and mission with complete regard for the dignity of each person.
A certified nursing assistant, also known as a nurse assistant or CNA, assists patients with various activities in hospitals, nursing homes and other facilities under the direction of a nurse in charge.
- Changing linens
- Cleaning rooms
- Toileting
- Feeding
- Grooming
- Helping to move patients
- Assisting with physical therapy, doing range of motion exercises
- Dressing
- Giving bed baths (under the direction of a nurse)
- Taking vital signs
- Assisting with dental care
