Dietitian

Registered Dietitian - Per Diem (Pool) at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital an Affiliate of Encompass Health, located at 189 May St, Worcester MA 01602. Hourly Rate - $35.00 / Hour.

As a dietitian at Encompass Health, you'll play a crucial role in promoting health and wellness through personalized nutrition plans. Your responsibilities will include assessing patients' nutritional needs, developing and implementing dietary plans, and providing education on healthy eating habits. In this role, you will instruct patients on post-discharge diets and monitor their nutritional status.

The Dietitian plans diets and confers with patients, doctors, nursing staff and patient family members concerning these diets. The position monitors Nutrition Services provided to patients to ensure their standards of care are met in accordance with all associated regulatory agencies and the administrative policies of the hospital.

Communicates with and counsels patients per physician orders and diet instructions; communicates with physicians and other involved disciplines in patient care; documents pertinent information in patient's medical record according to established standards; implements nutritional care plans, adapting menus, assisting patients with special dietary needs; collaborate with Nutrition Services Manager to maintain patient safety and appropriate therapeutic diets.

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
• State licensure required
• Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred
• Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & Nutrition
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred
